    “It’s just common sense”

Some of the issues I would like to address within the ward are:

A monthly market in the Broadway.

A youth centre for youngsters to meet.

Tackling speeding motorists on our local roads plus inconsiderate and dangerous parking in the ward.

Vigorously fight the encroachment of “in-filling” open spaces such as the recent Springfield Close planning approval.

I support the re-opening of the airport by Viable and would try to assist in opening meaningful negotiations with Sutton Harbour holdings as to the lease.

I want our schools to have the ability to tackle unruly and disruptive behaviour without fear of legal sanctions.

Born and educated in London, I became an apprentice in the printing industry where I was employed over the years with some of the countries leading newspapers.

During this time I obtained degree level diplomas in Marketing and Business Management plus a diploma in Print Purchasing.

Having got married and with two children I emigrated to Africa where I was involved with International finance for expatriates for some years.

I have also lived and worked in Italy for six years and saw for myself how the advent of the Euro tore Italian business apart and I was determined  to not let the same happen to my country of birth.

It was obvious to me that all the “standard” parties had nothing to offer by way of protecting our heritage and standards and UKIP was the obvious choice. Having joined I became Branch Secretary after some years and now Branch Chairman of which I am inordinately proud.
